Rupert Murdoch, owner of the New York Post has set a new record in the history of home sales
in New York. Previously he held the record for selling a property in
central New York for more than $ 24 million. He and his ex-wife did it
to get a new home on Fifth Avenue.
He achieved this new record in home sales
by reaching the $ 57 million mark. The house is located in the
penthouse pad of the One Madison Park area and it has four floors. The
strategy undertaken by Rupert was to combine two properties in one
building. At first, the structure of the house was worth less than $ 50
million. By adding a single floor Murdoch raised the value with over $
15 million.
It’s easy to see that the price of this property will continue to rise. Property values and home sales
in the area of 57th St. are on a rise and this building will be one of
the most interesting residential spaces on the block. The city view at
night is filled with light and the glass structure will create the
illusion of an open house in the city center. Don’t forget to Tweet your thoughts!
